When do classes start?

Classes will begin on July 8, 2024 for the first phase of the program, according to ITEM 4 (Schedule) of the notice.

How much is the scholarship and who can receive it?

The scholarship is R$5,000 per month and will be offered to all students accepted into the CI Inovador program, according to the rules presented in ITEM 14 (About the Scholarship) of the notice.

When and where will the admission test be held?

The admission test will be held online on April 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm. The link will be available on the website https://ciinovador.softex.br/en after the end of the application period.

Where will the test results be announced?

The test result will be published on this website https://ciinovador.softex.br/en/.

Can I use my social name* in my application?

Yes, applied participants who want to use their social name shall fill in the field (Social Name*) during application, so the candidate can indicate their desire to use a social name during the test, according to  ITEM “Application”, in the CI Inovador’s Candidate Study Manual.

Will students be able to choose between the three selected universities or will this be decided by the program?

Upon application, the candidate must indicate the trails and universities in order of preference, according to ITEM 6.3 of the selection notice. Candidates must pay attention to the address and number of slots at each university. It is possible to choose up to three options and, if accepted, the candidate will be assigned to an university based on the test score and the slots available.

I’m still studying for my degree. Can I apply for CI Inovador?

Yes. To be accepted into CI Inovador, the candidate must have a sufficient score in the admission test according to the available slots at each university (ITEM 5 of the notice) and, at the time of enrollment, present the certificate of completion or diploma, as per ITEM 2.6 of the selection notice.

What are the tiebreaker criteria for joining CI Inovador?

 By order: 1º Older age; 2º Postgraduate degree completed by the start of CI Inovador classes; 3º More than one academic article published; 4º At least one academic article published. According to ITEM 10.3 of the notice.

For those approved, what are the documents for enrollment?

Identity Card (RG), Birth or Marriage Certificate, Diploma, Declaration or Certificate of course completion, proof of residence are required. Depending on the internal regulations of the chosen institution, additional documents may be requested at the time of enrollment, according to  ITEM 13 of the selection notice and “Calls and Enrollments” in the CI Inovador’s Candidate Study Manual.

Can I participate in CI Inovador even though I have completed my degree some time ago?

Yes, CI Inovador does not establish an age limit or years after graduation for admission.

Which undergraduate courses are accepted by CI Inovador?

Electrical Engineering, Information System, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analysis, Telematics Engineering, Statistics, Automation Engineering, Physics Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, and Mechatronics Engineering.
